Anyone have any ideas why this wouldn't be working?
check the cig lighter fuse 99% time there the same constant 12v circuit
The cigarette lighter still works, is there an individual fuse for the port maybe?
Maybe a bent pin?
room fuse and radio fuse, hell check every fuse.
homer simpson fixed this once with black electrical tape...
All the fuses are good. There are only three wires going to the port so i take it one of those isn't getting power?
Is it not reading at the inspection station, or not reading with a handheld unit?
I went to get my inspection done on my 2000 Miata yesterday and they couldn't get a connection with their cable. But they could with a handheld unit. So the guy had to giggle it around until it connected. The strange thing is that the car has been inspected there for the past several years and they never had a problem getting connected before. The only times the OBDII has been accessed is by their equipment, so it was a surprise that it didn't connect.
So I'd try another reader or giggle it around and see if you can get it to link.
If you haven't tried another reader I'd give it at try.
2k the same thing happened today to me, i tried last night and the scanner worked and i even went to autozone to try their scanner and it worked again. I went to the inspection station and he was having trouble reading it, he jiggled it around and it worked! He said there is probably a short in the port. Now i just have to get rid of these codes i have. :( timing over retarded...
