I am wanting to order a set soon hopefully and they go for $450 on eBay. Anyone know if any local shops sell them for around that price or possibly cheaper?

I don't know of anyone on this board that has them. I would not buy them because of their reputation as being mediocre shocks. But don't listen to me, I am just a disgruntled former Hitachi employee (they own Tokico). Honestly, just about everything Hitachi makes is just so-so in my opinion.
I have them. "Meh" is my review.
Hmm, strange. I was also looking at the AGX's and Bilstein's. Both are the same price and $50 cheaper than the Illumina's. You guys recommend any of those over the Illumina's?
Ya may want to also consider Koni's -> http://www.good-win-racing.com/Mazda...t/20-1104.html
Nope, bone stock with no real plans for forced induction. I would look at the Koni's also but they are out of my price range. I might just go with the Bilstein's.
Creek is a forum member and he has the Bilstein HDs with Ground Control coilovers. I believe he has a posted a blog on this forum about his experience with this set up. Probably the way I will go due to the low cost.
The NA Bilsteins work better with stiff springs due to their damping. If you are on a budget, I would get the OBX Coilover from EBay. It comes with springs with good rates and length, a cut above the generic ones. I have that setup and I like it very much considering the price.
Another vote for Bilsteins, here. They'll last a good, long time, too!
