mazda photo?

I went to the Mazda dealer to look at the Mazda2. The salesman gave me a brochure. It came in a plastic tube. One of the endcaps on the tube had a b&w photo of what looks like a display on an old car instrument panel. There are some letters/numbers:
A
32C
N
The "C" might hava a 'degree' symbol after it, like it's a temperature gauge.

What is it? Why is it on the brochure carrier?

I saw a couple of the test mules at Monterrey, CA last week when we were driving on Hwy 1 from SF to LA. They had stickers on the side marking the kind of motor oil they were using the cars. There was a black and a metallic green ones. They looked not bad at all. From the back it looked very close the last gen Mazda 3. The rear of the car seemed to be wider than front. It is kind of a tear drop shape. The inside looked nice. The seats appeared to be made of quality material. The cockpit is about the same size as the NB Miata. I like how they looked. I may buy one if I am in the market for a DD to work.
