Had my first Miata for a week and I just wrecked it...

Yup bought it last Friday. '91 with 183K miles. Needs a bit of works but that's ok since i bought it for a project. Didn't know my first project was going to be repairing 3 wheels after I whacked a man hole cover garland was nice enough to leave in the middle of the damn street. :punchout:

bad thing is my apartment complex is threatening to tow my car because it's up on block right now until i can get my wheels repaired. So now i'm trying to find a cheep set of wheels and tires i can beg/steal/borrow until my enkei's come back from the shop.

Check with the classifieds here. There is usually someone with a spare set of daisies around here that will sell them dirt cheap.

If you're willing to drive down to Forest and Jupiter tomorrow, I can loan you a set of daisies with tires.

just got off the phone with modembeat, really awesome guy. Going to meet him tomorrow to pick up the dasies.

Welcome and sorry about your troubles, but I just have to ask how did you mess up 3 wheels on one manhole cover? Turn around in anger and try to get revenge?

i hit the manhole cover with the inside lip of passenger side wheels, and i guess it kicked it over to the rear drivers side, at least that the only thing i can think of.

Check with Tire rack, Good-WinRacing.com and Dicount Tire online. It may be cheaper to buy new then to fix the old ones, depending on what you have. Also, you can get new tires mounted at the tire rack for free and shipped when you buy them.

You MIGHT have some luck trying to get the city to buy you a new set of rims and tires. A manhole cover laying in the middle of the road is not cool. Hell if I would have hit one of those on my motorcycle I probably would have been posting pics of a beat up motorcycle and possibly a hurt me.
