Electrical problems- Car won't start
I was driving down the service road today and suddenly lost all power, and the car wouldn't start back up. I coast into a conveniently placed parking lot only to discover that when I turn my key to start the car, nothing happens. No sounds, no gauges, no radio, nothing. My lights still work though, so I'm assuming its only effecting the ignition or everything that needs the key to work. I really don't know much about the electrical system, so I'm hoping yall can help.
Interesting side note, though perhaps unrelated:
The last couple days after the rain storm, my radio would cut out whenever I made a right turn or stopped quickly. My radio has acted up before after a good rain, so I figured it just needed to dry out a bit or something. And it got worse right before I lost power.
Any ideas?
Car is a 90 with a 1.8 swap form I believe a 97, not sure about electrical system though, previous owner knew little about the swap
Many thanks,
