I finally got my bar!! Who has a long drill bit that they want to loan me to install my bar? I'm in arlington, so the closer the better. I'll probably try to put it in some night next week.
Thanks!

You can borrow mine, but you'll have to come over to Dallas to pick it up. By that point, you'd be better off going to Home Depot and buying one for $12.95. If you have to reroute ABS lines, you'll need a 3/4 inch hole saw, too. Also, a metal punch makes starting the holes much easier, but you probably already own one.
Good luck with the install. It's a PITA, but fun once you're finished.

the one at home depot i got was 8 bucks.
I've got one you can borrow.... but I'm in Frisco.
Hmmm, I'll probably just buy one for that price. What size and length do I need? I haven't even opened the box yet. :(
12" long (or longer) 3/8" bit.
Get the best bit they have and make sure it's designed for metal. The holes for the rear supports are a pain. Having a good bit makes them easier. 3bean is right: 12", 3/8 inch bit, with whatever drive your drill uses. I wouldn't go any longer than 12", or else you might have some problems positioning the drill properly. You'll also probably want a good 3/8" regular sized drill bit, as the 12" is a bit too long for some of the interior spaces. Your drill probably came with a decent 3/8 inch metal bit standard, though.
I also recommend cutting fluid for this job. It helped a lot. That and, as I noted, the metal punch.
