There was a crash at the entrance to my neighborhood in Allen on Sept 5 or 6. With a fatality on Sept 14, a woodern cross was place on the site. How can I find out info on what happened?

Allen police reports maybe?
I check and no info on it. Someone put up a cross with 9-14-10 on it. The accident happened on 9/5 or 9/6.

On a side note, never understood why people want to memorialize the location of someone's cause of death. Then again, the whole tombstone, mausoleum, or urn baffles me too. When I die, burn my body and sprinkle my ashes on famous race tracks around the world. It certainly would be more fun for my family than visiting a stone in a park.
