Damn, only $50? I might have to take the NA this year.
BTW, will they restrict me if I don't have a roll bar and/or hardtop?
Call Maggie for specifics, but I don't think there is a roll bar/hard top requirement. There hasn't been one in the past.
Looking into this one. Just want some seat time again in the "Red" car without pushing the tires and brakes.
I just signed up. $50, a toy, and food that all goes to charity AND I get track time? FANTASTIC! It will be my first time out to ECR, can't wait.
Previous experience says that these days will be full of traffic, so don't go out trying to set any records :0)
I don't have the car or the pace for records :). I keep hearing mixed opinions on ECR (most seem negative). I figure this is the cheapest way to form my own opinion.
I am so gonna do this. Miatas at Hallett didn't work out, but I am so gonna do this.
I had fun last year despite the rain, going again this year.
I was out there last year for this on both saturday and Sunday. On Saturday it was raining so the bikes left leaving back to back run groups for the car guys!!! It almost felt like an opne track day due to so much seat time. I also plan on attending.
I had fun last year on Sunday, and didn't think the traffic was that bad at all. Well, except for the damn Evos that couldn't use their mirrors.
So, who will be running novice? I've only been on their track once so that's where I'll be. I can't wait to drive with other Miatas on the track.
Good question? How do they assign groups? When I do MSR with The Driver's Edge I'm blue-solo. Do I have to get reevaluated at ECR, or will they let me run Intermediate?
Any chance I can pick Iain as my instructor since I know I will be in the Beginner/Novice group. My only track experience was in my '97 at MSR back in 2001.
ECR typically doesn't assign instructors, although there will be some available. Usually they identify who the instructors are and let you find your own.
I will be happy to instruct for you, Dallas.
I'm in as a novice.
I had an instructor my first time out there, and then after 2 runs they said I was good to go on my own. I'm betting I'll have one for one time then they'll let me go, since I've had prior experience. But that was 2 years ago, also.
I'm signed up and so is Carazzie.
I might have to do this. Just have to see how the car is running by then.
I am registered.
