Hello All and Happy holidays !
Just got a Vader Side skirt pair / Duraflex From the web. I see they mention attachment
in some places with double sided tape :confused::(:(:confused: Not real fond of this stuff, Short term maybe. Over the long run I'd rather have permanent or removable fasteners.
My main concern would be the top edges that meet with the body lines and along
the sill just under the lower part of the door. Along the bottom of the sill and fender
lip screws can be used.
Any ideas ?
the sideskirts on the zx2 were attached with 3m body tape and they didn't budge. if prepped right, that tape is strong as hell. I would try the tape first before worrying about additional engineering....
The tape may be strong, but the white enamel and history behind the white Miatas says
peel and adhesion issues down the road. I really would like to be able to make them removable
so if I need to say remove the front fender or clean out inside the lower fender I can
remove the skirt do what I need to do and Reattach without much problem....
Sxk122 , Got passenger side prepped today. Had to refit it about 4 times to smooth out all the areas that were a bit big.
Otherwise everything looks good. Got it primered and the holes drilled for the stainless steel hardware. Going for white paint
after this weeks cold spell ends. Thats fine it gives the primer a chance to completely dry and harden. Working on prep
of driver side tomorrow.

Yeah I'm working up the photos of the mods and installation. I fixed that crack in my front air damn
And repainted it a week or so ago. You can't tell it was ever there... Car has the jaws grill and a custom mounted air splitter on the front. The custom mount was all hand fabricated and sets the
air splitter 1.5" lower than the bottom of the oem bumper. You can see it in my profile photo.

My mouse on the lap top is broken so I need to get a new one not used to this scratch pad at all.

Yes that is an alternative. It seems as if the link with the photo host is not working as it did. Now it is taking a very long time to
load and does not come out correctly. It is able to produce thumb nails but the pics are so small they have no resolution.
So I removed them. What do I have to pay up front to get a membership.??? Done deal at $12.50 per year Not bad.
Now I'll be able to kick those pictures AZZ all around.....
