I ran into the same problem last year. My buddy and I torrented a copy, created a bootable disk, installed and validated it. Took the better part of an evening, but no problems.
Try putting one of the ones you dl'd on a USB stick... lots of defective CD drives out there causing problems with win 7 installs...
I have access to a Windows 7 Professional ISO thanks to the Tarrant County College Microsoft program. How can I help you out?
i think [some anonymous helpful person] is sending me one but i have more then enough bandwidth to download 2 at a time and encase one sku doesn't match my key the other may.
Fortunately, Win 7 seems to be SKU agnostic... So you can install with *most* media and it will become the right version when you input your key... or at least so I've found so far when accidentally installing a Dell OEM media to a non-Dell machine, etc...
^From when I reloaded last that is correct, an Ultimate disk will not let you install a copy of Professional. This is why we had to torrent it and go that route.
Apparently the files for all three versions exist on each disk, but there's a text or ini file somewhere that tells the disk it what version to install. You have to rip the files, change this file to say whatever version you want to install, then make a bootable disk. Not exactly sure on the process, we abandoned it halfway through and went with utorrent. This exact information should be easy to find online though.
got it all working.
