WTB: Daily Driver for $8K or less

My Son's car got totalled by the hail storm two weeks ago and needs another ASAP.

Looking for a 4 door (baby seat in the back) manual or auto for $8K or less.

Anyone got anything for sale or know of anything within these parameters?

I've been looking on cars.com and see mostly junk.

A Mazda3 would be perfect but I can't find one for 8K except in Houston.
