Lies, it will be a miracle if it's under 2000 lbs. Will be shocked if it's under 2,100 in production trim.

Every time I see that coupe NB, I get all sad inside.

Not sure how they will do it. The Elise weighs 1900-2000 lbs and is a more expensive, more spartan, and more fragile car than the Miata.

If they get it down to 2100lbs I will be amazed.

Never happen. The cost of a 1,800 lb car would be more than the public would pay for a MX5. 2,100 I can buy but even this weight will be difficult for
a marketable production car.
