Velocity Adventures condensed track day - HHR, July 30/31
A friend of mine runs Velocity Adventures in Austin, and they've got another "condensed" track day coming up at Harris Hill Road near San Marcos at the end of the month. If you've never done one of these events, it's designed to get you the same seat time as a normal one day DE, but to wrap up by ~1pm to avoid the worst of the summer heat.
I'll be down there instructing on the 30th for the green/blue event. Come on down and have some fun!

By popular demand, the summertime condensed track day is back! Summer is a brutally hot time of year to spend any time at the track, so we've designed track days intended to get you the same amount of time on the track as a usual DE day but in half the time.
The format is simple: one day is novices and beginners (green and blue), and the next is intermediates and advanced (yellow and red). One the novice/beginner day, we rotate between the green, blue and white (instructor) groups every 20 minutes with a 5 minute break in between so that instructors can recuperate. We are finished by 1pm and ready to go home and sit in a pool! For the yellow/red day, participants have open track access between 9am and 1pm and follow member rules and policies for the day. If you have been previously promoted to yellow (blue solo is NOT yellow, especially not for this event) and need test and tune time, this is the event for you! Since it is such a short day, lunch is not provided for the half day events.
Registration is open for both days! Please make sure you are registering for the right one: Day One is the right day for you if you have no experience, have not been promoted to yellow, or, if you are yellow but not confident about getting out on the track without instructors available. Day Two is yellow/red, for experienced drivers requiring no instruction.

If the heat of the summer is just too much to take or the date doesn't work for you, keep your eyes peeled for registration to open for our Sept 12 and Nov 19 DEs! Both will be full day events. Tell your friends and don't miss the fun!
