It is trickier to do it that way....I'd look for a shop (or person) who has done a Miata before. You'll need new axle-stubs too (I think).
If you have a loose torsen, not installed in a carrier, it's more than just a simple swap. It requires specific tools and equipment.
Swapping axles is only necessary if it's a 1.6 car.
