Channelmaniacs Rollbar Install and Pics

OK...

Trim/carpet/etc is out and sheet metal is trimmed... (broke 5 cutoff disks in my dremel)... and bar is sitting in the car :D

Ran out of daylight.

Will drill holes tomorrow (weather permitting) and bolt it all in.

At first glance it appears to fit nicely. It leans slightly forward and clears the surfboard seats. I think I'll pass the broomstick test with my helmet on but we'll see.

If the finish looks decent after bolting the bar in, I'll just leave it black and trim everything and reassemble the car.

I'll take pics and do a writeup too...

All this rain is making me go nuts - I want to finish the installation.

I should have a moderator break these parts off into a separate post since the style bar is sold. Chucka just stopped by & picked it up.

It's IN!

It all went in perfect with one exception... I cut the carpet wrong on the driver's side. URG.

I did a write-up on it and sent it to TC for inclusion on the Reviews section. I also posted the write-up and pictures on Page 5 of my Cardomain.com site.

I was hoping to be able to install an amateur radio under the rear deck, but the gas tank is in the way! On my 92 there was PLENTY of room under there for a radio but not in the 2003. I'll have to figure out another spot for it... probably right behind the driver's seat.

I got the frenzy in my car this morning. went in easy. I'll try to updat my cardomain site with some pics this week when i can give it a little wash.
