Did you see the damage to the Washington Monument? It is closed indefinately until they determine the full extent of the problems.
The National Catherdral also had some damage to it.
Actually some pretty impressive damage caused by the quake. But buildings on the east coast aren't designed to be shook. And from what I can find the composition of the rock and what not on the east coast amplifies even moderate quakes.
