If I told you I was running a <1996 car with a crank wheel and no CAS or cam sensor, would you believe me? It's pretty bauce and I'm excited about it.

I'd say pics or GTFO.
Want to fab-up a hall sensor and get a 12-1 wheel for your car? It's nothing exciting in pictures, it looks like a standard CKP and trigger wheel for a 99. I must admit, Joe Perez did all the work on this for me and spelled it out in terms that a retard like myself can understand.
I'll eventually put a CAS back in the car when I switch to MS3 and full sequential. I'd do it now but there are 2 spare outputs and I can't mod the board; I need 2 more injector wires and a tach output so I can't do it.
First thought is that it couldn't hurt, but next thought is what's the benefit and how does it install?
Do away with the CAS and get better timing accuracy?
Is the timing wheel just a plate that goes in behind the crank pulley?
Does the CAS hole get a block off plate? (save the weight)
3-5* of spark angle "adulteration" from stretch in the belt makes for a 6* spread of spark angle when free reving or transion from over-run to tire-smoke. Now, consider that the engine "rocks" 3* each direction with over-run and throttle, so we are looking at a potential of up to a 9* scatter in a worst-case scenario, wtih 6* pulled out of that from this adjustment.
Yes, from a 99+.
Yes
be aware of potential "degaussing" if things start to go wonky. noted issue in my 5.4 expedition for the hall cam position sensor. we moved to optical in model turbines for same issue.
Sure. Sign me up.
Thats awesome news, I was just wondering if that could be done.
The wheel diagram Joe made for me since I couldn't figure out how to set the trigger returns, lol

No way I'm putting that sensor on my car.
Trey,
I need to get with you about this and see about getting the ecu an na tune very soon.
Oh, and list out a bill of materials and where to get this stuff. The sensor, wheel, CAS blanking plate, and whatever else is needed.
I can do it after the Houston event and before Cresson in March. Need to dyno this new header so it makes sense to kill two birds with one stone.
