Hello everyone

Hi, i'm Sean, from Garland, and I'm hopefully getting a Miata either this week or this summer. I've always wanted one, and last April when my Malibu finally died, I though I would get my chance. Sadly, my mother had other plans, so I got a 2011 Scion xD instead. Something about being afraid of me (a big guy) in a tiny car... Well, I found a $400 NA on craigslist, and i'm emailing the guy trying to buy it. It needs a head gasket and a top, but as I'm at UTI, the head gasket won't be a problem, and the top should be an easy Pick and Pull find. Even if this car goes away before I can get to it, I'm going to save some more and get one when summer rolls around.
I'm actually a bit tired of the xD and its lack of affordable parts (and rwd drivetrain...) and I actually have the money for a car right now, so this should be a good project for me. I look forward to meeting a few of you soon and hopefully joining the Miata family.

iv been emailing the guy as well. i was trying to get it for a parts car. I think im going to take a stroll through crowley and try and find it for i think i know the neighborhood

Yea, that guy is not responding, I've been trying to get that car for over a week to build my wife a Autox car, and no luck!

Well damn, that sucks. I really want this thing. There's always the summer I suppose...

Where were all these cars two weekends ago when we were out with cash in hand to bring nearly any Miata home that day? We checked out two from craigslist, neither of which were ANYWHERE near what they were described as. Everything else was an automatic or we never got a reply/return call. Total timing fail.

Well now I'm just emailing everybody with a miata posted on CL for under 1500 bucks and offering them 500 lol
You should see the hatemail I've gotten back. It's like I offered to poke their firstborn in the eye with a sharp stick or something. It's probably not going to happen, so summer it is for me. Not to mention my mom's car got broken into last night, so another car to worry about is the last thing we need right now. I guess my glorious hoonage is going to have to wait till June when I graduate and move out.

I went and looked for the car in crowley today. Must have drove around for an hour and couldnt find it. But my car passed inspection with the seatbelt removed and harness installed so thats one thing off my chest
