Any Hill Country family resort recommendations?

I am considering booking a family getaway to one of the many small lake resorts in the Hill Country. I want an old style family resort on a lake or river with little cabins. I read that Lake LBJ as it is a constant level lake, which is probably important with the drought conditions down there. Anyone have any good or bad experiences or recommendations?

We did a Miata run down there and stayed in a cabin on the lake years ago. You might see if Gary remembers the name of the place.
