***** Second track update ******
The motor grader was out this weekend to begin cutting the path for the
second road course. Currently, the track is at 1.55 miles with a lot of
elevation changes. The drainage culverts will begin to be installed
next week. We are underway! Thanks to the "dirty dozen" - the 12 members who have put forth a simple interest loan in order to finance this expansion. The banks still can't understand this business model, the members certainly can.
When the second track is complete, it will be both a stand-alone track
with it's own pit road, or the connecting roads to the existing track will
create approximately 3.2 miles of road course - one of the longest in North
America. Even the pit roads will connect the two courses to create a
much longer pit road.
With the addition of a second track, members will have even more days of
access to a road course, in addition to having even more weekend events
and schools.
Progress reports will continue to be given on the construction of the
second track.
