Not suprising - GM to pull plug on new rear drive passenger car platform to refocus on large trucks & SUVs.

Let's kill one of the few platforms that might allow us to make real inroads into markets dominated by the Japanese and Europeans, in order to focus on churning out more large, thirsty behemoths, even as oil futures hit record highs and market surveys determine that American's desire for SUVs & trucks are declining.
