Lone Star Chapter BMW Autocross #6 - August 18th, 2012 TMS Bus Lot

Registration is now open for the 2012 LSC BMWCCA AX #6 Saturday, August 18th, 2012.

Even if you've never autocrossed before, come on out at give it a try. Instructors are provided for novices, and people wanting to try the sport.

More information can be found on the LSC BMWCCA website http://www.lscbmwcca.org/autocross-schedule.html, and if you want to drive in the event you must register.

Cost is $39.00 for BMWCCA members if you register before August 8th. After August 8th, the cost increases to $47.00. REGISTER EARLY!

IMPORTANT: There are no free events given at TMS for new BMW Members.

Registration for 2012 events will be 100% online. We will not accept payment on site! Online registration is available until 9PM the Friday before each event.

Tech Inspection:

All participant vehicles must pass Tech Inspection on site.
Tech Inspection begins at 8am and will close at 9am.

Mandatory Driver's meeting at 9am.

First car will start around 9:30am.

We will have 5 runs in the morning heat, and 5 runs in the afternoon heat. 10 total runs per driver!

Rides in instructor vehicles are free. A helmet must be worn. There are a limited number of loaner helmets available for those that do not own their own helmet. (Helmets must be rated M-2005 or SA-2005 or newer)

Early, low event pricing ends on August 8th. New, higher pricing begins on August 9th. On August 10th, if there are not at least 30 people registered, this event will move to Mineral Wells, and TMS will be taken off the calendar.

I'm registered, sure hope it doesn't end up getting moved. I got a buddy to sign up as well, and I'll try to get some more by Friday

Not sure how often Michael (Zrated167) visits this forum, so I will try to speak on his behalf. The National BMWCCA office sent a requirement that all drivers must belong to the BMWCCA. In order to offset this cost, Michael has been allowing free entry once you send him your receipt for joining the BMWCCA. This is a very good gesture on his part and the local chaptor is eating plenty of registration fees because of it. Shoot him a PM if you need more info.

BMWCCA Membership has been required since January 2012. You can sign up for membership here: http://www.bmwcca.org/index

Like Jerrett said, if you forward me the confirmation email, and your DLB login, I'll sign you up for a future event at Mineral Wells. Unfortunately, we cannot give free events at TMS, and I'm not sure how long the free events will continue, so if you're even considering signing up, don't wait.

Its always been that way; you could only ride with an instructor.

At least they don't require you to buy a German car to join. (.... PCA).

I think the rule about passengers is new this year, or is just now being enforced.
