Any Honda guys wanna make some $$?

My wife's 2005 Accord has a bad front motor mount (the fluid filled crappy one) that is shot and making the car undriveable, IMHO. The dealer wants far too much, and my alley is under construction, so I can't really use my tools/space/hoist/etc handle it myself. I was hoping to hold-out long enough for the alley to be finished, but it appears woefully behind schedule like all road work, and the mount is beyond drivable.

If anyone here is willing and capable of changing a Honda motor mount, I'm willing to pay, and buy all the parts/materials myself.

Need to do something ASAP, so let me know quickly.

I can't say I have ever come across a Honda guy on the internet that I would trust with one of my cars. YMMV.

Never mind. Managed to fabricate some ramps to get the car into my driveway (6" drop from driveway to pavement-less alley roadbed) and into the garage saturday. Took less than an hour to remove the old motor mount. Someone missed an opportunity to make some easy $$ here!

Badnews is that the Accord Hybrid uses an electric computer-controlled motor moun that is only available from Honda, has different dimensions than non-hybrid mounts, and is $600!!!! :punchout:

You're kidding right? What does a computer need to tell a motor mount to do?

Apparently it changes it's dampening chararacteristics when the engine is in 3-cyl mode, electric-assist mode, etc. if it could find a way to retrofit a plain-old rubber mount, I certainly would, but that would upset the computer...
