Jack Junkies follow-up
So, i needed to change the rear motor mount on my wife's Accord V6, and my garage was still packed and full of boxes, so i decided to head over to the new Jack Junkies place on Saturday afternoon. 10000lb 2-post lift, complete Craftsman tool set, dual air hoses, drop lights, UT game on the flat screen at each bay, the works. $23/hr, rounded down generously. (30% discount on first visit with coupon, the owner gave me a stack to share with forum /autox peeps)
The place was spotless, all new stuff, all quality tools and machines. Really impressive. The tech who works the counter is knowledgable and doesn't mind lending a quick hand for free. They have terminals setup between bays with alldata pro, so it was easy to find good diagrams and specs.
I decided to knock out the rear brakes while it was on the lift, and they order directly from Orielley's and get free delivery in about 15 min. They even gave me the discounted price, and they have access to the OReilley's parts screen, so its just like being at the store.
I ended up dropping $63 for the use of the place, and was there over three hours. (closer to 4). I would not hesitate to go there again for any job that requires a lift, or any work that can be knocked out in an hour. For $23, I'd rather not have to dirty up my tools and mess with jack stands and crawling around.
They really want to host tech days, so save up a few jobs and they will make a great bargain for us.

Oh - Thanks to NAILS for dropping by and lending a hand!
-
Sounds like a really cool place thanks for the write up OZMDD!
-
SOunds really sweet. I might need a coupon as a coworker wants me to replace the brakes on her truck.
-
Glad to hear that. I could use a coupon, will you be at Kellers tonight?
-
I will try to drop by Keller's after the SCCA BOD meeting. I emailed the guys at JJ, and they said they will honor the coupon discount if you jsut mention the forum or which autox club you run with.

One thing not mentioned here is that you are welcome to bring your own tools as well. They have plenty of specialty tools but some are rented so if you have your own, you may save some bucks. I remember they charged OZMDD for the impact gun. It's a very nice facility with big ass fans.

My wife tells me I'll be making extensive use of their facilities...
-
I wonder how much it would cost me to use their space for the full frame-off restoration I am working on? Is it BYOB?

At cars and coffee this past weekend, they left fliers on windshields. Smart marketing.
