I need a truck. How does the auction work? Can I drive it or just inspect it? Any clue what they typically sell for?

Nope you can't usually drive them. Sometimes they will start them for you during inspection or when they move to that auction item. If they are rolling them across a block, they will generally drive them, but that's about it. Smell the oil/tranny fluid, check the frame rails for bends and look for signs of towing wear. How worn are the pedal covers?
Bring a good mechanic/mechanical knowledge and avoid whatever the dealers aren't bidding on. Never be the first one to bid, and its often best to wait until the bids have slowed a bit before you jump in.
Either way, its always "as-is."
Low retail on the Maserati is only $56K! I'd go as high as $25K, sight-unseen!
Meh, too reliable and too easy to get parts at O'Reilly for that car.
Imagine being the poor mexican that was asked to balance the wheels on this bitchin' ride:

Do you get to keep the dope or the dead body hiding behind the back seat? :-) I think I will look a dope dealer driving the GT or Bently around my neighbourhood. :-)
