I ALWAYS have problems with those stories.
AFAIK, there are no documented cases of repeatable uncontrolled acceleration that were not related to floormats. Funny that nobody ever claims uncontrolled braking. :)
The emergency/parking brake on that model is mechanical. This story is utter BS.

I dare wfaa to follow-up on this story after the legal process has run its course. Curious as to what his insurance did on the claim (right before they dropped him, I'll bet)
I call BS. I've had one of those as a rental and I could only get up to 100mph and it took awhile.
