Looking at buying 205/55R16 dunlop star specs for my 2002 Mazda Miata LS.
Closeout on tire rack for $130 a tire. Wanted to check to see if anyone had a new or like new set of the same or similar tires for sale.
Thanks.

One last bump to the front page before I go buy new tires.
^Ask for the date code on those close-outs.
Are you suggesting that to see if they are last years model?
No, hes suggesting that the closeoutt deals are often discounted because they were manufactured several years ago and have been sitting in a warehouse. In the case of sticky tires, the older they are, the more they lose their stickiness. Most of us would not want a tire more than 12-24 months old, at least for performance use.
Consider it akin to getting milk from the back of the case that has the farthest expiration date.
Makes sense, thanks for the info. I figured they were close out because of the new ZII. Which is only $10 more a tire anyways in 205/50R16.
It may be that is the case. Just ask about date codes.
From tire rack "Thank you for your interest. We cannot promise specific date codes, but all recent shipments have been codes from early to mid 2012." Debating about going with newer ZII
