I have an excuse to go play with the tire machine at Jack Junkies but I won't need it for more than 20-30 minutes. Anyone wanna go in on an hour with me? Tentatively planning on Tuesday around 7pm, but could make it Wednesday if that works better for an interested party.

Any chance you can push it out a few days? I have a set of Rivals on order from Tire Rack. The original delivery ETA is 4/12, the website currently shows availability on 4/8. I'll call tomorrow and see if they can give me a firm delivery date.

I need to mount two tires but I cannot be left alone with a tire machine. I'll put in for this, either day is fine. Can we balance as well?
Yes, they have a nice balancing machine.
They close at 8, so better plan to start this earlier if more than 2 people are coming. The tire machine rental is not time-based, so thats a good thing.
You sure about that? I thought I saw it listed as an hourly rate.
I can't get there before 6:45 or so, but if y'all want to get a head start then name your time. I'm leaning towards Tuesday. (Sorry, Chris -- my project has a bit of a deadline.)
Quantas dollar per tire for mount and balance? Will someone help me because I'm really afraid of chopping-off my thumbs.
Not a problem, as the car isn't on the road now. I'll post up a similar thread once my tires arrive.

I've only done it a few times but I'm happy to help and share what I know. (Still have all my fingers and toes... so far.)
I'll help instruct on the machine. Its got the extra arm, so its pretty easy to get right.
They might have changed the rental rate on it, but either way its cheap. I'm guessing $10/head ought to cover it.

That was fun. Thanks for helping me balance the wheels. I realized after you left that you over paid, since you only had two. I owe you a beer or three. We are getting pretty good with that machine!
May show up the next time this goes down...I'll bring my plastic duck head for the machine to avoid any wheel damage.

I think it rents like the bays now, around $20/hour, though they seem to be flexible on the exact amount of time. Last I heard, it was only $10 if you were also renting a bay, so the way to do it would be to combine a tire day with a tech day or Wed night GTG. Even at $20, its a bargain. We did 6 wheels last night in an hour (swap tires and balance)
