Miata meet at the Old Monk

As posted elsewhere...


So I was talking to MK70, at Track Dog, and he was talking about putting together a meet at The Old Monk, one of my favorite pubs.

So, this is the idea, as I told him...

We have a meet and eat there on a Sunday. They open at 11am, so, we would all meet up at, say, 10-10:30. The parking situation is garbage there. But, if we get there early, we will have the parking lot to ourselves. Then we go eat fish and chips, have a few beers, and, maybe, get lucky and make sex.



We just need to figure out a date.


Preferably, a date before it gets too hot out would be nice.

A possibility is the last Sunday in June.

Before it gets too hot? For those of us w/o a/c, I think that was last week.

But yeah, still considering this.

No a/c here either. :D

Hey now, I just got a daily.

and, then my brothers truck got stolen last night, and so now I only have my dented Miata, cause I let him use the Civic.

String of bad luck.

I'd be in but June doesn't really work for me. As I say that, I might just be able to go on the 30th.

As you can see, there is limited parking space, BUT, that is why we are going to get there early, so we have our own space.

Let us get there at 10. We can talk Miata, check out each others cars, yadda yadda.

It is beginning to look like this Sunday is not going to work for the majority of people. I am in a mad dash to get a car built for a race this weekend, and really, I have some more projects that really need my attention, so Sunday might not be the best for me either.


So, let us just postpone it to a later date.

and you can't do an Old Monk meet without me. I was on vacation then.
