Tomorrow I'll be picking up some pads...
Now maybe I can get altiain and POS off my back!

The thought of having a fluid flush day before MSR has crossed my mind. :wink:Quote:

Anything special I should know when doing a brake job? Or is the Enthusiast's Guide pretty concise?
Do not try to compress the piston on the rear calipers with a C-clamp or such. Use the allen screw to back them off/down. Lube up the slider pins well when you put it back together.Quote:

This is worrisome...
Did you slowly spin the rear rotor while you are turning the rear brake adjustment screw back in? Have a couple of lug nuts on to hold the rotor in place. Just at the point where the pads contact the rotor, back the adjustment screw off a tad about a 1/3 turn should be just enough.
Then I pump up the brakes and check it all again, nothing worse than the shh shh shh sound on you first test drive because the brakes are dragging.
Oh yea I almost forgot! :cat:
I did one better this morning... I just jacked each rear corner seperately, undid the cover bolt, spun the wheel, and turned the 4mm hex bolt until the wheel stopped. I then backed it off 1/3 turn. Everything's been hunky-dory since! :cheers:Quote:
