I recently reaquired a 97 Miata that I had sold to my son-in-law 10 years ago. When I got it back it was in sad shape, but he had previously had the crank position sensor, timing belt and water pump changed out at a garge in Irving. After he got it back it still did not run right so he just parked it and let it set for over a year. I just got it back from him, and have started to try and get it back in running condition. The car was throwing a OBDII code of P01345, and as the cam position sensor was previously changed, I assumed it was a faulty cam sensor. I have replace the plugs, wires, fuel filter, fuel pump and the Camshaft position sensor. There in lies my problem, in replacing the CAS, I have gotten the timing off now, and don't know how to get it correct. Can anyone tell me how to get it in timing, or know(short of the Mazda dealer) of a reputable shop in the Arlington, Grand Prairie area that can get it running. I really appreciate any help.
Thanks
