I had no idea it was a law. Always do it in the Miata. Never in my OTMs. From Jalopnik:

Ain't that a bitch. If they apply it to automatic transmission cars as well, they'll generate enough revenue to fund Obamacare AND the tooth fairy.

Neighbor of mine got that ticket but only after his car rolled down the street into another neighbors car..... We don't park in the street anymore. ;-)
Pretty sure there is more to the story. The kid was probably being a jerk. Stories like this only tell one side and get everyone all upset over nothing.
I always set my parking brick

Can you say 'Revenue Generator'?
Anyone else offended by this? This really rubbed me the wrong way.Quote:
If officers cannot solve an issue directly, such as the noise complaint, they will try to reduce the likelihood of that problem occurring again by enforcing all appropriate laws.
Nope not me.
That entire area up by the racetrack is sketchy. ;-)Quote:
The citations were issued while several teens attended a birthday party at a home in the Chadwick Farms neighborhood of Fort Worth near Texas Motor Speedway in Denton County.
Original story - http://www.nbcdfw.com/news/weird/Dri...226224541.htmlQuote:
Fort Worth Police Cpl. Tracey Knight says it may be an obscure law, but officers can and will enforce all laws. While the circumstances of the ticket weren't immediately available, the officer who wrote the tickets likely was called for loud noise coming from the party. If officers cannot solve an issue directly, such as the noise complaint, they will try to reduce the likelihood of that problem occurring again by enforcing all appropriate laws.
Knight also said that someone who believes they've been wrongfully ticketed can challenge it in court
As Paul Harvey used to say, "And now for the rest of the story." One of my co-workers lives on the street where this happened. The police were called to a large juvenile party. When the police arrived, many of the party goers fled on foot. One of the partiy goers assaulted an officer then fled into a house and refused to answer the door. The homeowner, who was not at home, returned and opened the house for the officers. The individual was located and arrested. The officers wrote citations for illegally parked vehicles that they could not determine belonged to local residents in an effort to take enforcement action on the people who fled from the scene.
I blame the liberal media.
Yea only report the side of the story with the mom who was done wrong, glaze over the part where her kid was more than likely a punk ass!
It's not the onscreen talent's fault but the clowns the have directing the news for air! Its those guys and Obama! ::hal::
