WoodCreek Part-Out; '97 Montego 27 Dec
I'm breaking down the car today (as much as I'm able to in my garage) which means I'll have, effectively, an entire Miata available for purchase.
So, I thought maybe an impromptu swap-meet could be entertaining. Drop by, hang out for a bit, pull some parts, etc.
I'm thinking noon-whenever. I'll send my address to anyone who is interested in coming. It is exit 73 on I-30, about 4 miles east of Rockwall. Please shoot PMs as they trigger my email and I'll get back to you (I'm obviously going to be busy today, so I'll get to you as soon as I can. If you want to be an early-bird and pick the car over, just let me know.
A few highlights:
I have two sets of shocks; NB (on the car) and NA ready to go. Both are OEM but they function well and will get you by if you're tight on money for a spiffy set.
The '97 door cards (black) are in outstanding condition, and these are a little rare (at least as rare as any Miata part is likely to be) due to the unusual top pad design.
Power mirrors work just fine
Center console and tombstone are in very good shape
Shifter with nearly new top boot (non-OEM boot I think... it's a bit more flexible than the OEM ones I've purchased recently). I also have a few OEM knobs.
Power window regulators/motors work fine, as do the switches.
OEM radio works fine though there's a slight blemish on the display; it got a bit of a scratch somehow.
Good instrument hood with lubed-up tabs, and good cluster.
LSD (I'm speculating here; though I was pretty sure all the '97s came with them)
Strong engine with ~160k on the clock; fresh timing belt (literally within a week of the wreck). I can get the exact mileage for anyone who really needs it.
Passenger seat is pristine; driver's seat is good. Excellent foam in both, and rails work well.
Floor mats in black and NB tan.
Decent convertible top; say 6.5/10. It'll get you through; no rips tears or holes. Rain rail condition is unknown.
Aside from the front driver's side, all the lenses/lamps are in good shape.
