A bit of top advice
So today I installed the already mounted top I got off of a Facebook deal, and it went okay other than having to break out my He-Man side to get it latched. I had a question about the straps for the 3rd and 4th bow. This is how I found them:

And I'm not thinking those were correct, so I redid them:

Also I'm pretty sure these are the tension cables:

So my questions are: How should those straps be installed, where should the 4th bow be arranged, in acordance with the seam in the top, and do I need to get some new tension cables?
Bonus: awesome new rechargeable light bar I got at Harbor freight last night. It has hooks and magnets on the ends, and the ends screw off and are attached with bungee cords so you can attach it wherever. Also the bar spins in the handles, so you can aim it independently of the mounts. It let me ut my valve cover back on last night at around 9 haha Can't beat that for 25 bucks.

Not sure on your specific top brand, but on Robbins tops those straps attach to #3 & #4 bow, then the long portion goes on one of the rain rail studs, either 6/5 or 4/7 on the below diagram. The #4 bow is (close to) where it should be. See here.

***Note these are for reference only, as I believe they are from two different tops I just found them with a google image search. Tops can can be different between style/brand. However should give you an idea of what to do with the straps. If you can't find which stud for your specific top, you might have to take your best guess and/or try a couple studs.
The tensioners are riveted to the front bow at some place I can't remember off the top of my head. Looks like those could be broken, you can get a set off of a busted top frame or at rosenthal mazda. There's a ton of photos and diagrams on Miata.net from installs of various brands and I'm sure William or Steven can chime in in a bit with more specifics since they do these tops all day, but i've done about 3 of them.

I believe this is a Robbins XT or Streamline. I'll try rerouting the straps like that, thanks for the links!
