Who is the go-to person for a new Mini/BMW now that Scott P is gone?
Didn't Scott go to the BMW/Mini dealer in Arlington?
Yep
Oh, ok. If anyone has contact info for him, please pm me.
Try him on FB. Friends with JoJo,
Got it, thx
Here is how to contact him at the BMW dealer.
I read on the interwebz where Minis were Satan's car. Why you want a devil car OZMDD??
They just seem like more reliable, affordable, non-pretentious versions of the Miata.
Jimmy Jan - how has the free maint deal been working-out on Leilane's MINI? Still happy?
lol
IMHO free maintenance isn't all that great. Lets use my 2012 Buick with free maintenance as an example in 20,000 miles it has had 2 oil changes and 2 tire rotations and that is it... That is all the maintenance GM says it needed. Mind you they put 50+ little check-boxes on the form and make it look like the checked and inspected a bunch of stuff but you know it just an oil change and a tire rotation. ;-)
So what maybe $100.00 value over 2 years? Big deal.
Same with my Legacy - oil changes @ 7500 miles when it's on them but they recommend 3000 miles when you are paying!
No prob with the free maintenance. Hate the HVAC system and the black plastic around the fenders. Love the handling. Buy an S.
The S is higher for insurance and cost, not classed as well for autox, and will almost certainly get me more tickets. I've done well driving cars that have no chance of beating anything in redlight drag races, think I'll stick to N/A. Biggest question for me is whether to take the heavily discounted 2013 or wait for the all-new 3-cyl turbo 2014 with 160 tq...
I hate the motor in my N/A, but I think it just can't handle the extra weight of the Countryman. We had a Countryman S for a loaner and it was a lot better, even though it had an auto. It should be better in the normal Mini though.
BTW, I really liked Moritz and our salesman, Brian McNulty. He did everything he said he would and fulfilled every promise he made. I hope the new owners kept him and did not mess up the way they did business.
