my understanding is that some models came with a Torsen with a 3.9 gear
if that is wrong someone please correct me
anyway, looking for a ready to bolt in good condition complete diff
to go into a boosted track car that now has a 4.3 Torsen out of a 99
don't really want to trade, want to keep my options open
3.9 came on the 99-00 6mt NB's. Not certain when the 6mt went to 4.1, but I'm 99% sure the 04/05 MSM were 4.1, thus the horrible gearing.
Neal, you cursed me! Went to the track today and was doing pretty well (1:29s). But, at the end of the last session noticed a bunch of oil from the breather. Got home and tested compression . . . 185/100/175/185. Sigh.

Yeah, but the engine isn't that new anymore. Been in for about 20K miles and a bunch of track time. It might be a headgasket, but it doesn't have normal headgasket indicators. There was no overheating. I just finished that session and there was oil from the breather and low compression on one cylinder. I think you know what that feels like.
