Finish mods to my rifle
Last year I purchased a Remington 700 30-06 ADL from a friend of mine who happens to be a gun dealer. It was his father's hunting rifle and according to the SN and barrel marks was probably manufactured in the early 1970s. Other than a cheap 4x scope the rifle was original.
I decided I wanted to start taking up distance shooting and this was too good a deal to pass up. After about 6 months of modifications, this is what I ended up with.

Modifications:
BDL Accublock Thumbhole stock
4-16X Nikon Monarch Mil-dot scope
Harris bipod
Gentry Muzzle Break
Trigger job
BDL Bottom Metal

what kind of distance are you shooting?
-
Eventually up to 600 or 700 yards. Right now still shooting at 100 to develop technique.
-
Good deal. Enjoy the rig.

Speaking of rigs, how are you liking the Trailhawk? Nice gun.
My brother bought a GC Diesel and just loves it. I got to ride in it this summer and was impressed by how quiet it was. Lots of torque up in the mountains. He lives in Colorado Springs and we were at his condo near Keystone.

Absolutely love it. It is the most comfortable vehicle I have ever owned.

No wonder you don't have time for other stuff. Details on the finish please.

I did not make the stock. I bought it. It is a laminated thumbhole stock with an aluminium core. The layers of the laminate are different colors and it has a matte finish.
