Side-view mirror glass

Has anyone ever replaced just the glass on their mirrors? Mine are pitted and I'm looking to do that.

Rock Auto has it under - Outside Mirror Glass

Haven't done a Miata but it was easy on my Ranger FWIW.

^Was it a full replacement, or did it glue to the old one?

Had a plastic backing plate that clipped onto the Ford Mirror guts.

What did Jimmie do since he lost both? ;)

Probably glued them back on. :cat:

I have the new 'add-on' ones in the garage...haven't installed them yet.

I was able to get one back on. I bought the other from Autozone. Wrong size, but it's a track car. <sniff>

Used double-sided tape. And not just Scotch tape folded back on to itself. The good stuff.

I have a pair (L&R) of Crystal White manual mirrors, new in the boxes. Should you need them or anything...
