Autocross prep

I signed up for the NTAXS autocross #7 coming up on 11/21. This will be my first autocross. I'll be driving my bone stock 2015 Miata.

Is there any special prep needed to pass the tech inspection? My car is in good shape, no problems, just serviced two weeks ago. I know I need remove all loose items from trunk, glove box, and passenger compartment.

I have magnetic numbers, so I shouldn't need tape.

I should have a helmet by then.

I'm bringing an air pump. What pressure should I use for my stock Bridgestone RE-050A tires on 7x17 OEM rims?

I'm stoked, already. What else do I need to make this a great first autocross?

Make sure your battery is secure. No play in wheel hubs/bearings. Drivers floor mat out.

Thanks! OEM battery bracket is secure. I'll take the mats out. How do I check for play in wheel hubs/bearings? How do the tech inspectors check for it? With 6200 miles on my car, I suspect I'm ok, but since I don't now how to check, I can't say for sure.

Make sure your fluid levels are topped up and correct and also that the torque on your lug nuts is correct.

Being a new Miata that you have not previously autocrossed the car, you should probably request that the event chairman take a test run in the car to verify that everything is okay.

I will take it for the "tech check" runs; 3 should be sufficient on a newer Miata like that.

I tried that back in September at Texas Motor Speedway with blackzx3_13. It was raining like hell. When it was all over (all three times) I couldn't remember any of it. He's a maniac! Scared the crap out of me! I think I NEED to have a steering wheel to hold onto.
