Anywhere local to get Hankook RS-3?

As nice as the price is on those 140 TW Federal 595 RSRs, I decided to go with a 200 TW tire since Bob Neff said that the Texas Region SCCA is unlikely to allow the 140 TW tires again for 2016, like they did for 2015.

Does anyone locally sell the Hankook Ventus RS-3's. I've bought all my regular street and offroad tires from Discount Tire for years, but I checked their online web site and they don't have the RS-3. Not in 225/45r17 anyway. I'll call them to ask before I give up on them.

Meanwhile, I'm just wondering who else sells them. I know I can buy them at Tire Rack and have them shipped, which doesn't really seem like a bad option either.

Discount tire can order them, If you get them from Discount make sure they are the newer 200TW not the older 140TW

From Tire Rack they are the RS-3's Version 2.

Myself, I would get them from Tire Rack just so I didn’t have to try and explain the 140TW and 200TW situation and why it mattered to me.

You will get them in 2-3 days from Tire Rack, and sometimes the next day.

They are enough of a specialty tire that it’s unlikely you will find them in stock anywhere in the size you want.

Baker is a good dude. If you don't buy from him, definitely take them to him for install and get a great alignment while you are there.

Great, that is good to know. I'll call and talk to Baker. I just got a second set of used OEM 17x7 wheels from bigDstars on this forum. I want to get my autocross tires now before the season starts so I don't run into supply problems.

I want an alignment too, so if they good, then all the better.

Now I'm expanding my questions...

Flyin Miata and GWR have recommendations for NC autocross alignment numbers on their websites, but I don't know if that varies based on ride height or tire size. I'm totally stock as far as suspension goes (OEM springs and yellow Bilstein dampers). If I get an alignment that is good for autocross, how will it affect my car or tires for normal driving? Does tire size make a difference (e.g., running 225/45r17 for autocross and 205/45r17 on the street)?

I'm planning on 225/45r17 tires. The OEM size is 205/45r17. The Hankook Ventus RS-3 in 225 has a section width of 8.9 inches, tread width of 8 inches, and 25 inch diameter. Is that going to be a problem with clearance on an NC with stock ride height? I don't want to roll my fenders.
