Looks good, for a coupe. Too bad it's not a convertible.
I wonder which SCCA class it'll land in.
Nice.
Where is the Torque??
Also you kids realize this is a whopping 5 horse power increase over the current car.....
Same car with predator fangs and 5 more hp....zzzzzz. Just drop the damn FA20 WRX turbo motor in it already.
Yes, the torque is a weakness in these. Kinda RX8-ish. 5hp is a 2.5% bump!!

- 2002 Mazda MX-5 Miata - Sports car
Curb weight: 2,387 to 2,429 lbs
Engine: 1.8 L 4-cylinder
MPG: Up to 23 city / 28 highway
Horsepower: 142 hp
205 HP (NA) in a little sh*t box coupe can't be all bad! Torque is low though, I agree.
So you are saying my 14 year old Miata has less horse power than a brand new Toybaru. Thanks for the heads up! ;-)

More of a real world comparision. Hopefully the Subayota improvements for 2017 will close tha gap a bit.

Which one comes out on top in Motor Trend’s street and track test?
In case you don’t feel like watching the full test, things come out pretty heavily in favor of the new Miata here. It’s lighter so it’s quicker zero to 60 mph than the BRZ — a surprisingly decent 5.8 seconds — and stops better. The sound, gearbox and chassis are superior too. And while the Miata suffers from more body roll than the sharper BRZ, it emerges as the more playful choice.
Who really wins? We all do, since we have such an awesome choice in the small, pure RWD sports car segment, one that’s been neglected for so long. Until the Toyobaru maybe becomes the Miata, anyway.
Hey be nice to Jo-Jo you meanies! ::Grouphug
