Preparing Head/Intake

I'm getting ready to do some simple work to my intake and head in the tonight and I have a few questions.

1. Does anyone know where I could get some Dykem around the HEB area or somewhere near the Ballpark in Arlington?

2. Should the carbon deposits in the intake be dry and powdery or greasy?
