Tour Time

I am in the need for a touring event. It's been a while and I would be glad to put one together in East Texas if you are interested in an extended drive. July 9th is the date I was thinking. Show of hands if you could participate?

okay..so far I have two who can't and one guy who is very enthusiastic. I looked at the racing calendar and picked that date because it looked like it didn't conflict with any local Miata events.

Okay...a tentative route to "The Shed", a great place in Edom Texas to eat lunch and back. Feel free to add any suggestions to it after seeing where it takes us.

Meet at Cruisers Parking lot at the corner of Preston and Warren in Frisco at 9:00am.

Route:
289 (Preston) north to 380
380 west to Greenville
69 south to State 34
State 34 south to State 276
State 276 west to US 69 south
US 69 south to Texas 19 (Emory)
Texas 19 south (through Canton) to FM858
FM 858 west to FM279
FM 279 to Edom (Lunch at The Shed)

FM 314 N to FM 1512 (Van)
FM 1512 west to FM 773
FM 773 north to State 110
State 110 north to US 80
US 80 to State 19 (those from west side stay on 80 back to 635 and points beyond)
State 19 north to US 69
US 69 north to US 380
US 380 west to State 289
State 289 south to Frisco and Cruisers parking lot for a COLD beer.

We can make this longer if anyone has the desire. I have driven most of these roads with no problems. I am going to take a test run if anyone wants to ride shotgun to make sure this works. Okay, whaddaya think?

Looks good for me with or without mrsthang. She said it sounds like fun, but then she thought about all day in the car with the wind and sun and heat. She says she'll let me know. I may be foreced to play like it is a sedan, but I'll go anyway.

Ok guys....count me in...:grin: But where is Frisco and can you get there from Arlngton?:scratch:

I guess I just need to know the best way to get to Frisco from here and I'll be there.
Or if there are others going from out this way we might could meet and caravan. I can do either. It sounds like a fun run to me.....
