It will be interesting to see how the Solstice / Sky will do compared to the Miata.
Yeah, you had to figure those cars would be in CS.
While it will be interesting to see how the GM products do, I think the more interesting battle will be between the NB and the NC. I know I'm looking forward to participating... :rambo:
While you had to figure they would end up there, I still think it's ridiculous that the current E Stock and C Stock aren't being combined to allow some more "room at the top" for all of the disparate cars currently crowded into SS, AS, and BS. And that's not to mention the ones that will be here soon, like the C6 Z06...
Still, based on the current Mazda literature, it looks like the only way to get an LSD on an NC is going to force you to have 17" wheels (limited tire selection), and the 6-speed transmission (wonky gear ratios, with 2nd gear redline at like 52 mph), so the NC may not have what it takes to dethrone the '99 Sport.
The Skystice is an also-ran, imho. It might have room for huge rubber, but it's going to be way to obese to compete in C Stock.
If you check the latest on-line fastrack, you will see recommendations for several other stock category changes, including Mazdaspeed Miata from BS to CS...it still won't be competitive... :thumbdow:
are the miatas that run e-stock just the 1.6's ?
Used to be. This year the early 1.8's ('94-'97) were added to E-Stock.Quote:
