Well, Gary sold me Majik’s old head and I had it reworked and it is now on the car. I set the timing tonight and installed a phenolic spacer on the intake. I am hoping this week…. I got a goodwin racing mid-pipe in and that will go on as well. It is hot in Dallas

I am putting the turbo back on tomorrow. I pulled the DP off to surface the flange, I had and exhaust leak...
So tomorrow I need to install DP, goodwin exhaust, and valve cover and it should run....

Put a few fans on in the garage to keep the temps down. I did a tire rotation this weekend and you would have thought I ran a marathon.
John Day Custom Engines by Town North. 3 angle valve job, new seals and valve adjustment - his standard cost on this is $300ish for the 99/00 heads because of the solid roller cam.

Well I got it all back together last night and went to start it.... battery dead. So I put the charger on and will reload tonight. I have to help a friend finish the shock/spring install on his GTI tonight.
Have I mentioned its hot in Dallas?
