The Tein-S, since you're not racing, may be fine for you... but generally, they're too soft of a spring.
Try FM, Eibach, Racing Beats... stiffer springs that fit the Miata better (IMNHO)!
What springs does Tailchaser have on his car? I know he has the AGX's!

I have the FM / AGX combo also...love it. For the past 2 weeks I have had my autocross tires (15x7) on there with the AGXs on 7 all the way around, to keep my rear tires from rubbing on bad bumps. The ride dosent bother me much at all, only on bad roads. If I set it on 5 its fine, firm, but not bad at all. My rear tires are rubbing due to the offset of the wheels, the stocks are fine.
