Victoracer "Group Buy" Opportunity

Clovis at NTS2KOC made this post soliciting sign-up from those interested in acquiring Victoracers (and Ecstas and Hoosiers) for the coming season.

Probably worth looking in to if you haven't already picked up tires...

I'll probably end up regretting it (I certainly did the last time I ordered race tires through a Discount Tire "hookup"), but I've chimed in.

Hey altiain can you see what they can do on a set of 205/55/14's Victoracers, the S2K board will not let me post without joining and I really don't feel like signing up for yet another forum! :lol:

Doesn’t sound worth the effort to me either (YMMV), plus you'd have to pay sales tax and I would assume mounting is extra.

Mounting and balancing is suppose to be $10.00 (per tire, I assume :wink: ).

I did a quick calculation based on 205/5015 Shaved V700s, and the difference between the tire cost is:
- - From Tire Rack (tires & shipping); $577.44
  - From McKinney Discount (tires & tax); $562.90
  
  - Total saved by going to Discount: $14.54
Pretty thin savings, particularly if you live closer to the Mexican border than I do :lol:. Still, since I'm practically next door -- in Texas terms anyway. I might go for it, if they can wait until I burn off the rest of my rock-hard Hoosiers. I see that Mr. Chaser took advantage of the deal (Ecsta V700, Full Tread, Not Heat Cycled)...
