My sister called me at lunch today and said here Xterra was making a squealing noise and she was scared to drive it. I told her once I got back from Frisco I'd come over and take a look at it.....

At least the whole damn caliper didn't fall off. Strange coincidences that both my parents’ Pontiac and my friend’s Pontiac both had a brake caliper fall off within a month of each other. :-?
Any explaination on how a brake pad can come out like that? :scratch: On the Miata and GM cars I've worked on, the brake pads are pretty secured unless you unbolt the caliper.
No clue the drivers side front wheel would not turn at all when I got over to her house since the brake pad had come out of the caliper. :shaking: Had to fix that problem before I could even get it to my house.Quote:
