Avon (Tires) Calling

Anyone know anything about these Avon Tires?

Looks like price wise they fall directly between Hoosier and Kumho!

I wonder if the lady down the street can get me a set. She sells Avon. ;)

Seriously though. One drawback is they don't make a 185/60/14.

:shock: Since going to R compounds for AX I've always ran 205/55/14 Victoracers on my car! My street Azenis are 195 wide 8) ! Why do you want something so skinny? :?

Looks like they're not going to be legal this year anyway. My understanding was that they needed seven sizes available in 4 different diameters by April 30th to be legal for the current year. Looks like Avon is going to be one tire size too short.

D'oh! My mistake. They only need six sizes in four diameters... exactly what they have, if Tire Rack actually has any to ship by the end of this week.

Hmmm... another new player in the R compound tire market. I hope this leads to a price war. :thumleft:
