Trailer??? Where to buy?
Alright, well in the process of this move I've gotta get a buncha cars from DFW to about 9 hours south..
Looking on u-haul it's going to cost me about $500 just to rent a trailer one-way. Well hell, for about double that I can just *buy* one...
Anyway... Anyone know of someone selling a rx7/miata sized open car hauler? New/used whatever... Reccomendations on where to get one new? (that's not a $6000 aluminum job)
Thanks!

I have one for sale. I had it custom built for a Miata in 1996, to be pulled by my old RV(bed sits higher than normal so you can open the doors on the Miata over the fenders). It's all steel, including the floor, has a 30"x36"x72" box on front, dovetail, and nice long ramps. It has good tires and a new spare, electric brakes on one axle. The paint is poor, but it is all red! $1100.

Really? Sweet! Ask and ye shall receive...
Do you have any pictures?
Is everything functional for it to make a road trip next week?

I took the box off so I could haul some long stuff, but that's no problem. Need to license it, again no problem. Other than that it should be ready to go. It's in Granbury, so I'll bring it back on Saturday. I'm looking for pictures......

I don't even know what it takes to register a trailer in texas... (probably just money :) but I still need to find out )
Mev, you rock :)

It's just money...
A bill of sale is all you need. Just tell them you wish to register a "homemade trailer" and they'll hook you right up.

Or if it's already been registered once there'll be a title. You can just do the title deal just like a car.

I will vouch for Merv's trailer. It is a great buy as It would cost you over $2k new. It probably makes your car that you haul faster. At least that is the way it use to work for Merv. :colors:
